How to work with Dr. Krysti:
As chiropractors, we have a tendency to prioritize our patient hours above all else. So much so, that we will decline events, training opportunities, or meaningful time of inflection if there is a schedule conflict.
But how are we hindering our potential by missing these opportunities?
How is it possible to get ahead when we are convinced we don’t have the time to step away to set our goals and intentions?
Get ready to challenge this mentality in this week’s mindset moment episode.

How to work with Dr. Krysti:
When it comes to your employee(s), do you find yourself landing in the "friend" zone more often than "boss" zone? Or vice versa?
Let me explain...
Do you have a great goal setting and accountability system within your practice, but feel like you don't really know your team members on a personal level?
Or are you super in tune with what is going on in your team members lives and love the connections you've created, but have a hard time starting those difficult conversations when expectations aren't being met?
I'm here to say that there REALLY is a happy middle with this one! (And anyone who tells you otherwise is probably operating with a masculine leadership method.)
In this episode I outline some action steps you can take to stay centered as both a strong leader and welcoming friend to your team members.

We were joined by two veteran CA's, Cami Wilson and Miranda Williams, who have a combined 17+ years working in chiropractic.
We dig into all things surrounding finding and hiring the right team members. Ones that are passionate about chiropractic and growing themselves within practice.
Our call wraps up with a Q&A session with Cami and Miranda, where questions are addressed like:

If you're wondering, “How do I grow my practice in a way that is sustainable and fun and aligned with my values without sacrificing my family time?” — this is the guide for YOU!

“Just do your best!”... right?
What could be wrong with that gentle little encouragement?
My therapist pressed me, “Krysti, what would happen if you DIDN’T do your best? Or if your team and family weren’t doing their best? Would their value change in your eyes?”
Um. Well.
Now that my eyes are open to it, I can’t seem to look away.
Are we not worthy if we’re not always giving our “best”? How can we—humans—be expected to always be ON and perform as if that’s commonplace? What kind of message are we sending to our children and teams if we only want them in a conditional fashion?
Follow along in this Mindset Moment episode as I attempt to evolve this narrative.

In the last few weeks, how many of you held up that white flag and cried “SOS! I can’t do this by myself anymore!?”
And how many of you held back because…
...you didn’t want to be seen as weak?
...you didn’t want to bother anyone else?
...you felt afraid of letting go and delegating tasks?
Somewhere along the line (maybe it wove itself into our DNA over the generations?) we’ve equated asking for help with failure.
This episode is all about challenging your belief system when it comes to getting help, and how you can reclaim your life by doing so.
Here’s the book I referenced in the episode: “Free to Focus” by Michael Hyatt

**Last chance to join!** [EVENT] Cultivating the Team of Your Dreams!
Have you heard the concept that you will not have the same team at each level of practice? In my early years of practice, I actually rolled my eyes at the thought. Now with wiser, more experienced eyes, and many team transitions under my belt, I see this concept in a new light.
The reality is— we hire team members with the understanding that they will share our passion for chiropractic and growth and natural health, without truly knowing how invested in the journey they are.
In this episode, I highlight 5 of the key indicators that it may be time to reevaluate your team. Plus, how you can look through a specific lens to determine if a candidate will be fully invested in the growth of your practice.

[EVENT] Cultivating the Team of Your Dreams!
This may have been the most difficult episode for me to record to date. Revealing my deepest insecurities is not something I enjoy doing, but I have to believe...no, I know...there are other women in our profession that are dealing with shame surrounding this topic. And shame cannot survive once it is brought to light.
“Who do you think you are giving health advice to people when you look like that?”
“If you don’t practice what you preach, no one will believe you.”
These are just a few of the things I was told by fellow chiropractors in my early years. Which, as you can imagine, was just icing on the cake after a youth filled with bullying and a newly-diagnosed eating disorder. I eventually became my own bully when believing that I was not qualified nor worthy enough to be giving out health advice.
Years later, with lessons from the (mostly) other side, I’m ready to dismantle the ideology that we must be...
Inspired by recent chats with my friend, the wise-beyond-her-years Erin Lindstrom —sales strategist and copywriter extraordinaire— I knew we needed to take a moment to spotlight something mind-blowing Erin dropped on our recent guest expert call.
If you have complex feelings surrounding the concept of “selling Chiropractic,” this mini-episode will definitely resonate with you and leave you with a refreshed view on relinquishing control and embracing trust.
